Oregon 2015, Part 1... The Keranen Reunion.

It has taken me this long to finish these pictures from our vacation to Oregon last summer!  I know it's rediculous!  These pictures are from the first part of our vacation.  We had a reunion in Southwest Oregon.  It was an amazing time, gathered with all these dear ones that are scattered about!!  We were at Camp Remote for 4 days or so.

On our way there, we stopped at the Salt Flats out of Salt Lake City.  It was sooo bright and white there!

After stopping, we continued driving and made it to a little town in Oregon called Lakeview.  We stopped and stayed the night in a rustic old motel.

Dinner at an old cafe off the main street.

The boys were able to burn off some energy at the motel.  They had a basketball hoop and we had a ball along.

The surroundings there were beautiful!  I love Oregon!

After sleeping the night, we took off in the morning and headed toward Camp Remote.

We had one pitstop along the road at this lake.
We arrived at Camp Remote, and spent the next 4 days there.

On our first morning we played a couple games.

Grandma was lining everyone up alphabetically by middle names.

We played many games of bump.

There was no water close by, so our lovely hosts set up a slip and slide.  That provided entertainment for hours!

Visiting in the shade.

It was so fun watching all the cousins reconnect, or meeting for the first time!

Some organized arts and crafts for the kids.

The kids played spike.

We took some time to get family pictures done!
Jess and Markus and family.

Peter and Sue and family.

Bear and I and family.

Bam and Rach and family.

Miss and her children.

 The Mike Keranen family.

Brooke, Miss and Bear.

 Everyone that made it!

Mike and Sandra.

The Loukusa's.

 The Riutta's.

 Bear and I.

 Kim and Aaron.

We celebrated Sandra's 70th birthday one evening.

"happy birthday dear Grandma, happy birthday to you."

Brothers singing to their Mom.

That same evening, we had a surprise 40th birthday party for Timmers.

Our second day...
Each family did a slide show of their lives.  It was very interesting!

 Kitchen duty.

Everyone had duties.  These boys were on for serving lunch.

Patiently waiting for lunch to be ready.

 The food line.

Jen showing us her sidewalk chalk skills!

There was a frisbee golf course at this camp.  It was used all the time!
Our third day...

Bear and Alli were on a Sunday school lesson.

With their lesson, they did a nature walk.
We celebrated Father's Day.  Clarke and Kath preparing dessert for that.

The Fathers had a special table to sit at.
The kids sang a song for them.

We had a bonfire on our last evening at camp.

We also sang some folk songs around the fire.

Our last and final day...
We took pictures of the cousins who were in the same grade of school.

The preschoolers.   Forrest, Tobia and Isac.

The Kindergarten girls.  Serafina, Noelle, and Calla.

The only 3 year old.

Matt had his hands full with these two. :) They loved having their Daddy close.

This is the end of the reunion.  Many awesome memories were made!!  There has been talk of our next reunion at the same place a few years down the road.  We all can't wait!!

After the reunion a few of us headed to Cannon Beach for a couple nights.  Coming up next...
