47:52 Motivational Monday

Always remember to fall asleep with a dream and wake with a purpose.
-Unknown

I love watching my boys sleep.
The calm and quiet around them, calms me.
Their little lips just poofed out perfectly.
Their light snoring.
Everything.
I know they will wake with a purpose and the calm that was there, may disappear. Or may not.

The most important things in life aren't things.
-Quoted in bulletin of The First Christian Church in Fairfield, Illinois

A pretty important part of life, are those good buddies.
These two boys have a pretty special friendship.
 I love watching them together.
They are comfortable hanging out like this.  Each doing their own thing and b.s.ing while they do.  They will hang out mere inches apart, and not be bothered by it.
They aren't  too "old" to swap back scratches or flat out have a good laugh!
They enjoy each other for who they are.

Maaret is next in the circle.

There is nothing worse than being a doer with nothing to do.
-Elizabeth Layton

When there isn't a whole lot going on,
you may have to pick up a book and read every once in a while.

Sometimes that is torture, but this time it was okay.

Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures.
-H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

Clarke was watching his brother drive my car back and forth, and possibly thinking about the day he could jump in and drive around?  All while enjoying his ice-cream sundae from McCrackys.

I'm wondering if, Dawson thought this slide was going to be a whole lot longer than he was thinking?! :-)

This kiddo was thinking he could swing so high he would maybe touch the sky.

This old merry-go-round is a small pleasure for my boys.  It's old school!  And they love it!

My boy, who is the thinker in our family.  A lot of times you find him silently pondering life around him.
