Skating

This winter we took full advantage of the cold weather and did plenty of skating!  I compiled a few iceskating outings into one blog post.

We had some beautiful warm days.

It was Clarke's first year on skates.  He loved it!!

There was boys hockey on Thursday evenings.

Plowing the rink.

We also had, really snowy days!  These days, it felt like all we did was shovel.

The custom ice scraper used for clearing snow.

Yes, I skated too!  And had fun doing it.

Spring Gulch

Cross country skiing up at Spring Gulch with Naomi and Andrea.  We went on a sunny, warm day. The snow was a bit sticky, but I didn't mind! Made it easier getting up all those hills!

Love Aspen tree shadows!

Andrea with a selfie of me. :)

View from the top.  Gorgeous!

We ran into Kath up there. She had a quick snack with us, then went on her way.  This day was a perfect CO day!  Blue skies, beautiful views and warm weather.

Bath time

Rub a dub dub three boys in the tub...

Every once in a blue moon I will let the kids bathe in my bath tub.  They love it!

I put a few drops of soap and turn on the jets.

And they get bubbles!

Lots of bubbles!

And clean boys for half an afternoon.

Snowshoeing with Daws

One beautiful morning, Dawson and I went for a snowshoe up to the Flattops.

The snow was so pretty and sparkly!

A storm had rolled through the night before and dumped several inches of fresh snow!  It was perfect for snowshoeing!  We started out bringing Tanner with us.  Unfortunately he ran away, then had to get locked up in the car!

Love these trees!

Some nice lady took this picture of us.

It was such a beautiful peaceful morning!

The snow was quite deep!

I took so many scenery shots!

The sky was brilliant blue.

It was a cold morning!

Look how deep the snow was off trail!

We stopped at a fence, so Daws could dive off!

A favorite of the boys!

A few leaves left over from the fall.

The trees are loaded with pine cones!

Minus the fact that our dog ran off and caused some stress, we still had a fun morning!  Also, fun to go with just Daws!  It's not very often that we get to hang out, just the 2 of us.
